UniMAC

Counselling Unit

Overview

The Counselling Department at the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) is a cornerstone of student development and institutional wellbeing, a dedicated centre committed to nurturing the mental, emotional, and psychosocial strength of every student.

As part of the University’s Student Services framework, the Department provides professional, confidential, and student-centred support systems that empower students to thrive academically, grow personally, and engage meaningfully within a dynamic university environment.

At UniMAC, we recognise that academic excellence is inseparable from mental wellbeing. The Counselling Department therefore operates at the intersection of care, prevention, and development, ensuring that every student is supported not only to succeed—but to flourish.

Our Role in Student Development

The Counselling Department goes beyond traditional counselling. It is a proactive, transformative unit that integrates:

  • Adjustment to university life

Through these interventions, we contribute to building a resilient, self-aware, and future-ready student community.
