Innovation Takes Center Stage at UniMAC’s 2026 Entrepreneurship Exhibition

The University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) came alive on Saturday, April 25, 2026, as weekend students from level 300 Public Relations (PR) with Marketing and Business Communication, and the level 200 Bachelor of Arts in Communication, showcased their ideas and creativity at the 2026 Entrepreneurship Exhibition Class presentation held at the Auditorium of the South Legon Campus.

The exhibition provided a platform for students to present fully developed business concepts and entrepreneurial projects before industry leaders, faculty, and fellow students.

Organised by the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship under the Faculty of Business and Strategic Communication (FoBSC), the exhibition was an academic exercise designed to bridge classroom learning with real-world practice.

This year’s project brought together aspiring student entrepreneurs who demonstrated creativity, market awareness, and a strong commitment to solving everyday challenges through innovation.

Under the guidance of lecturers, Dr. Nii Nookwei Tackie, Mr. Oliver Aggrey and Dr. Bright Senanu, Ag. Head, Marketing and Entrepreneurship Department, students presented an impressive range of business ideas spanning health, self-care, technology, food, and lifestyle. Each concept reflected careful research, strategic thinking, and an understanding of emerging consumer needs.

Among the standout presentations were Cero Bar, a high-fibre granola snack designed as a convenient and nutritious breakfast alternative for busy individuals. In the self-care category, a team presented, ‘She Secure’, an integrated menstrual pad and underwear solution aimed at improving comfort, convenience, and hygiene for women.

Another team also captured attention with ‘Scentsory Soul’, a unique fragrance concept, embedding customised perfumes into accessories such as bracelets and watches for a seamless, long-lasting scent experience.

Health and wellness innovations featured a group that presented a fruit-based contraceptive drink made from organic ingredients, designed to help prevent unwanted pregnancy while supporting immunity. Another group presented ‘Snap Wash’, a soap-infused tissue that allows users to clean their hands while on the move.

In the digital solutions space, ‘Easy Fita’, branded as ‘Tap Fix Go’, offered a practical response to challenges in the automobile sector by connecting drivers to mechanics through an efficient, user-friendly mobile application.

The food and beverage category was equally vibrant. ‘Bobensa’ presented a fruit-flavoured beer available in mango, apple, and watermelon, reflecting changing consumer tastes and preferences. Another group also out doored ‘GIGI Coconut Oil’ a garlic-infused cooking oil that combines enhanced flavour with nutritional value, while ‘Allocyd Alkaline Drinking Water’ promoted healthier hydration through premium alkaline water.

Rounding up the impressive lineup was a presentation on ‘BaoCARE’ Baobab Original Soap, a skincare product enriched with baobab oil and formulated to deeply moisturise the skin, improve elasticity, and promote a natural glow.

A distinguished panel of industry experts served as judges, offering valuable insights and constructive feedback to help students refine their concepts into viable commercial ventures. Their presence underscored the University’s commitment to connecting academic learning with industry expectations.

In his remarks, Dr. Nii Nookwei Tackie commended the students for their outstanding presentations and entrepreneurial spirit. He encouraged them to continue refining their ideas and transform them into profitable enterprises.

The 2026 Entrepreneurship exhibition demonstrated UniMAC’s dedication to nurturing innovation and leadership among its students.
