New Executives Sworn in for GAUA-UniMAC

The Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) – UniMAC Chapter held a handing over ceremony on Thursday, 22nd August 2024 and swore in new executives to steer the affairs of the senior members (administrative and professional) of the University for the next two years. The event was marked by a remarkable speech from the outgone President, Mr. Ernest Afachao who thanked all his co-executives for working hand in hand with him and appreciated all members of the GAUA community for their support during his tenure of office. The ceremony was held at the South Legon Campus of the University.

An oath was taken by the new executives after the associationā€™s documents were handed over to them. The oath was administered by Mr. Kwaku Baah Acheamfour, a lawyer and lecturer at the Faculty of Journalism and Media Studies.
The newly elected executives are Mr. Andy Adu-Sarbeng, IJ (President), Mr. Kow P. N. Richardson, IL (Vice President), Mr. Lloyd Annor-Larbi, IL (Secretary), Ms. Benedicta Lartey, IFT (Assistant Secretary), Mr. Isaac Lorson Asante, IFT (Treasurer), Mrs. Edwina H. Quartey, IJ (Editor) and Ms. Tina Dabri, IJ (Organiser).

The new president, in a speech of acceptance of responsibility, pledged to work hard and manage his position effectively and congratulated himself and his co executives.

The outgone executives who served with Mr. Afachao for two years are Mr. Augustine Boahen (Vice-President), Miss. Faustina Baafi (Secretary), Mrs. Harriet A. Karikari (Treasurer), Ms. Benedicta Nyame (Organiser) Ms. Brigitte Ampah (Assistant Secretary) and Ms. Stella A. Abrokwah (Editor).
