Welcome Message(VC)

Hello, UniMAC Family!

I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome you to one of Ghana’s fastest-growing specialised public universities – the University of Media, Arts, and Communication (UniMAC). UniMAC is the first public university in Ghana established by an Act of Parliament (Act 1059), which merges three specialised institutions comprising the erstwhile Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), Ghana Institute of Languages (GIL) and National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI).

Whether you’re a new student, a returning student, a member of our incredible faculty, or part of our dedicated staff, I extend my warmest greetings to each one of you.

Always remember that UniMAC is the place where dreams take flight and creativity, innovation, and academic excellence converge. Our mission is to inspire you to reach your fullest potential by creating an enabling environment for consistent learning and growth.

As the Vice-Chancellor, my vision is to transform your experience at UniMAC. We are committed to enhancing student life, expanding our state-of-the-art facilities, and pushing the frontiers of innovative research to help solve the numerous challenges facing the Media, Arts and Communication industry. We also aim to build strong international collaborations that will bring exciting opportunities for all of us.

To our amazing students! You are the heart and soul of UniMAC. Your youthful energy, ideas, and passion make this place special, and that is why they call it a university, and we call it the home for growth. Get involved, take risks, and make the most of every opportunity. We are here to support, cheer you on, and celebrate your successes. So dare to enter to learn, exit to achieve.

To our faculty and staff. Your dedication and hard work inspire us all. Together, we will continue to innovate and inspire, making UniMAC a beacon of excellence in higher education in Africa. We will strive to churn out graduates who have hands-on skills and are industry-ready.

Let’s all contribute to making this an unforgettable journey filled with learning, creativity, and growth.

Here’s to an exciting and bright future at UniMAC!
